For most, winter is the hardest season to stay motivated and active. We are busy getting ready for the holidays, celebrating with friends and family, and let’s not forget, it’s cold! Because of these reasons it might be easy to put your exercise routine on hold. However, we encourage you to stay active, for more reasons than you may think.

1. Exercise improves your mood: Attending group fitness classes, or working out in a fitness center offers socialization, and decreases depression and stress.
2. Improves balance and strength: If we become inactive, we increase the risk of falls, reduce our muscle mass and diminish our ability to enjoy other activities as well as the things that keep us independent.
3. Exercising improves memory: Staying active by exercising stimulates your mind and improves thinking skills.

At Wesley Willows, we make living an active lifestyle easy with many fitness opportunities. Our Fitness Coordinators offer a full schedule of classes that will work with anyone’s schedule and fit anyone’s needs. We offer classes beginning in the morning and throughout the day Monday through Friday. Wesley Willows offers a variety of unique fitness classes that cover everything from strength and balance classes to specialty classes, like Tai Chi and boxing. Our Fitness Centers offer state of the art equipment along with an indoor walking track. Our Aquatic Center offers a warm water pool, endless pool, and spa. Swimming isn’t just for summer time around here! The warm water pool is set to an average of 89 degrees, making it therapeutic and enjoyable. We offer aquatic therapy classes each day of the week as well as other aqua aerobics that cater to different levels of fitness.
