On Sunday, July 9, a Box Office Benefit was held in support of the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Willows with a showing of Beauty and the Beast at Starlight Theatre. It was the 45th year holding an annual Benefit, and our 13th year at Starlight. We raised over $91,260 and saw a 17% increase over our previous record high.
Seniors who outlive their financial resources never have to leave their home at Wesley Willows, and that is made possible through The Good Samaritan Fund. As life expectancies and health care costs continue to rise, the need for care is ever-growing. Fundraisers like our Box Office Benefit are an essential part of keeping our promise of a lifetime of care for residents.
“We are humbled by the outpouring of support for our event, and grateful to our sponsors, attendees, residents and friends that helped to make it possible,” said Bill Pratt, President and CEO. “They are the reason we are able to provide care to those in need, and to continue to inspire Seniors to celebrate life.” The number of engaged and caring people in our region is something worth celebrating, especially when they choose to invest in aiding their friends and neighbors in need.
