ROCKFORD (WREX) — Valentine’s Day is just around the corner but at Wesley Willows in Rockford, the clock turned back to December on Thursday.
Wesley Willows hosted its annual CEO Christmas Luncheon this week for residents at the independent senior living center. President and CEO Bill Pratt, and Chief Operating Officer Debra Adkins handed out 300 meals for residents.
Really it’s our way to say to residents, ‘We got you, we remember you, we think about you,'” Adkins said.
Of course, usually this event is held during the holidays but because of high cases of COVID-19 in Winnebago County, Wesley Willows decided to delay the luncheon until February and make it a “to-go” style meal pick-up.
Adkins said now is a good time of year to spread a little cheer for residents.
