Peterson Meadows offers many living spaces, services, and amenities to help residents enhance and maintain an active lifestyle. However, we also realize that all these options may seem overwhelming at first. For this reason, we’ve designed this page as a roadmap to familiarize you with everything you will find here. We hope you find it helpful as you prepare for your visit.



Without further ado, let’s take a virtual tour of our 55-and-over community in Rockford.

The welcoming atmosphere will continue when you enter the lobby of our Community Building. To your right you will see our elegant Dining Room, where residents enjoy chef-prepared dinners every evening. To the left you will likely see residents sitting at tables, socializing and playing games. They may also be enjoying a delicious breakfast or lunch from our Café. 

As you explore the Community Building, you will see several amenities and activity spaces, such as our Fitness Center, full-service Salon, Library, and Chapel. Residents also enjoy getting outside in our courtyard and Community Garden. There’s always something to do if you want to participate! Groups meet every week to for card games, crafts, book clubs, Bible studies, movies, live music, and more. We also take frequent trips to local restaurants, attractions, and special events.

Our one- and two-bedroom apartments are conveniently attached to the Community Building for easy access to all services and amenities. These spacious, modern living options come in several different floor plans with options for customization if you need it. The units feature fully-equipped kitchens, private balconies and patios, ADA accessible bathrooms, complimentary laundry facilities on each floor, available underground heated parking, and more.

Residents enjoy having all indoor and outdoor maintenance taken care of for them. They also receive bi-weekly housekeeping services and peace of mind knowing that the facility is constantly monitored by security staff. Best of all, friendly neighbors are right next door, and a kind and helpful staff person is always just a phone call away. 

Take a walk along our outdoor walking paths, and you’ll notice a variety of attractive single-family and duplex homes. Our homes come in various floor plans to suit individual tastes with options for customization and upgrades available. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom homes have fully-equipped kitchens, laundry on the main floor, full basements (some finished), and attached one- or two-car garages. 

Home residents love taking a quick walk over to our Community Building to enjoy all of its amenities and activities. All our formal and casual dining options are available to them as well as fitness classes, salon services, and more. And you simply can’t beat not having to shovel snow in the winter or mow the lawn in the summer! Instead, we offer all the help they need with maintenance, transportation, housekeeping, and security to free them to enjoy life!
